U Hotel Resort Sukhumvit Branch Bangkok

U Sukhumvit hotel enjoys a prime location in the heart of Bangkok’s business and dining area in Sukhumvit Soi 15. The overall interior and architectural design concepts are created with a modern living lifestyle in mind but featuring unique local touches.  All 82 rooms ranging from 30-40 sqm and other facilities are luxuriously appointed with the comfort of U brand’s unique concept of service.  Facilities include a themed all day dining restaurant, rooftop swimming pool, gym, library and free wi-fi.
Our Review
When you drive down the alley on Sukhumvit 15 with the taxi driver asking probably his way, you might worry about your choice…but soon when you arrive at U hotel, you can immediately feel at home. This newly open Boutique Hotel will seduce you by all its additional details & free services. Here, no hassles, friendly service, nice environment and decoration, small but efficient rooftop infinity swimming pool, so you ‘ll find yourself enjoying your time immediately.
We went for their Deluxe room, a 38 sqm well designed and spacious space with a very comfortable bedding.Their “plus” free services we like the most are definitely the “whenever wherever” Breakfast, here no stress, whenever you wake up, if the breakfast time has passed you can order your breakfast where you want: room, swimming pool etc… You have a free wifi in all the room and an interactive TV with which you can connect your device with bluetooth and play your own music. Among our favorite is the 24 hour check out. Example: you check in at 8 pm the day of your arrival, then you’ll have the room till 8 pm the day of your departure… a must for us.
The location of the hotel is at the end of the Sukhumvit 15, which can seems far from everything but it’s finally just a 5 minute walk from the chaotic Soi 11 if you want to find some restaurant or chilling at the Nest Rooftop. The hotel offer free bikes if you want to go around, and with their free Tuk Tuk service you can reach Terminal 21 in 5 mn, where there’s the BTS Asoke and the MTR line. For the most adventurous you can take the river boat (on your left when you exit the hotel at the end of the Soi) and you can reach Central World in 4 stops.
Verdict:
U Sukhumvit Boutique Hotel is a very good treat and pretty well located in the heart of Bangkok , we had wonderful time there and their “plus” services really makes the difference, we liked the free Tuk Tuk and Bikes at your disposal, that makes your stay more enjoyable in a city where it can be hassle to find a taxi meter.
A very good value for money for this new boutique hotel, we hope they will keep on with the quality and for sure we’ll be back!

Our Review
I came several times with friends to get some Mojitos to start a nice evening and well i had nothing to complain, so i decided to bring my other half for a romantic dinner to impress her with the view.
We booked our table 2 days before by email and if you want a table with the best best view on the edge of the terrasse we recommend to book ahead.
Their reservation service reacted pretty quick and send us a confirmation email on the same day with a plan of the terrasse table for us to choose, we find that pretty professional with a nice touch.
Till then everything was all rite and we were ready to have a romantic dinner…
When we arrive in the restaurant nobody came to welcome us and we waited there for about 3 mn (believe me it’s pretty long when you are standing in the entrance of a restaurant) looking desesparately for a waitress. Then finally a waitress came to us and tell us immediately that it was not possible to have a table without a reservation. After trying to explain her that we did booked she finally throw a smile and bring us to our table.
The view was really nice, as the ambiance then we left the little incident away and started to enjoy our time there.
We went for two mojitos as aperitif and when i was ordering the mojitos the waitress suddenly turn her back to us and went to welcome another table without saying anything to us, so i find myself talking alone. She came back 10 mn after talking with the neighbour table taking their order and finally came back to us and we could order our Mojito.
Because this incident we decide to no eat here and find a more relax place with smiley service.
The day after we received an email for a feed back about our experience, i reply back describing our experience of last night, explaining them that it was a pity for a nice place like this, but that i surely could understand as a former restaurant owner that this kind of things could happen, and just wanted to bring this to their attention.
They never replied back to me, so i didn’t really understand the point in sending an email for feedback nor us to coming back…
Verdict:
I’ve taste the food on my previous visits and i have to say it’s fresh and tasty,  i’ll recommend to head there for a drink and some tapas to enjoy the view, as a pre party, we just had a bad experience on that day, of course it doesn’t mean you’ll have too…but the lack of professionalism from the management for not answering our email will not make us try it again…
